friday night
seriously bug it was cold. like super cold. so you spent most of your time looking like this. and you kept saying 'brrrr'. but you did love the lights and the christmas trees. and even though the parade confused you a bit, you still seemed to like it. so after dinner and a quick loop through the park we headed back to the condo to get warm.
saturday 2:30 am
i don't have any pictures of this particular event. but maybe i can paint a mental picture for you? me and daddy asleep. you awake. until 5:30 am. after much confusion. giggles. tears. and rocking. you finally fell back asleep. although at 6:30 you were awake for the day. but i am not going to lie. i enjoyed it. you were snuggly and lovey. we just rocked on the bed. such a big girl in my arms. it's just crazy to see you getting so big.
saturday

after an early breakfast and a failed attempt at shopping (it was packed - seriously who ever thinks the economy is in the tank should hit the outlet malls - there were people every. where) we headed back to the condo once again to warm up and attempt a nap. no luck. so fresh air and a quick/cold date at the park was scheduled. we ventured out again for lunch and then spent the rest of the afternoon and evening back at the condo. you did not complain. and happily explored your new surroundings.
sunday 2:30 am
you guessed it. no picture. but same events. and yes i still enjoyed our early morning snuggles, but mommy and daddy were tired. we have also decided that you in bed with us does not equal good sleep for anyone involved. you flop, you toss, you turn, you whimper. but i don't blame you bug, mommy loves her own bed too.
sunday

after yet another early start to the day, we ate breakfast and then went to feed the 'ducks'. although the ducks didn't look exactly like your ducks from home, you and grandpa still had lots of fun. and thankfully the sun decided to come up so we headed out for some shopping and lunch with the family. after hugs and cheesey family pictures we packed up and headed for home. i think your 2:30 am playdates caught up with you a bit and you enjoyed a much needed, nice long car nap.
it was a fun trip. quick. cold. full of family. and now we are home. in our own beds. exactly where we belong.
